Locally Grown Ltd

Welcome to Locally Grown (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

1. About Locally Grown

Locally Grown is a marketplace that connects local UK-based growers with customers looking to buy fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables. We promote sustainability, community-driven commerce, and plastic-free packaging. Locally Grown is not a producer, buyer, or seller of produce — we facilitate connections and transactions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

3. Account Registration

  • To access certain features, you must create an account.

  • You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • You are liable for all activity under your account unless proven otherwise.

4. Grower Responsibilities

If you are a grower listing produce on the Platform, you agree to:

  • Sell only UK-grown fruit and vegetables.

  • Package produce sustainably, avoiding plastic where possible.

  • Accurately describe all items, including potential allergens.

  • Keep your stock, pricing, and availability up to date.

  • Comply with food safety, hygiene, and local trading standards.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

If you are purchasing from the Platform, you agree to:

  • Read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

  • Make prompt payment for any confirmed orders.

  • Respect grower delivery preferences and availability.

6. Payments

  • Payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers.

  • Locally Grown may charge a service fee, which will be clearly displayed during checkout.

  • We do not store your full payment details.

7. Deliveries and Refunds

  • Delivery arrangements are agreed between buyers and growers.

  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Buyers must contact the grower directly to resolve issues.

  • If unresolved, Locally Grown may mediate but is not obligated to provide refunds.

8. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes.

  • Harvest or scrape user data without consent.

  • Upload harmful code or interfere with Platform performance.

10. Community Guidelines

We expect respectful and honest behavior from all users. Repeated breaches of community standards, such as abusive language or poor service, may result in account suspension or termination.

11. Donations and Community Investment

20% of net profits generated in active communities are donated locally through charity schemes and food initiatives. Only communities with active transactions are eligible. Locally Grown retains discretion over how and where donations are distributed.

12. Limitation of Liability

Locally Grown is not responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, or legality of produce sold by growers.

  • Delivery delays or disputes between users.

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount paid by you via the Platform in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
